Islamabad Police Arrests 39 Suspects, Seizes Drugs and Weapons


ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have apprehended 39 individuals in connection with various criminal activities, seizing drugs and weapons in the process. Among the items recovered were 20 bottles of liquor, a Kalashnikov rifle, a gun, and a dagger. The arrests are part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the capital.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, three individuals were specifically targeted for their involvement in criminal activities. In addition to these arrests, a special campaign aimed at capturing proclaimed offenders and fugitives resulted in the detention of 36 criminals. Legal cases have been filed against the suspects, and investigations are continuing.



Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has directed these intensified operations, emphasizing the importance of combating crime to ensure the safety of the federal capital. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the police’s commitment to protecting residents and maintaining public order, urging citizens to report suspicious activities via emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to facilitate a collaborative effort between the community and law enforcement.
