Islamabad: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has dismissed allegations from the Taliban’s Ministry of Defence that Pakistan violated a temporary ceasefire along the western border. The claims were labeled as frivolous and unfounded by Pakistani officials.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Fact Checker of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting stated that there has been no breach of the temporary pause by Pakistan. Officials described the accusations as false and suggested they may be part of a propaganda campaign initiated by factions within the Taliban regime. This campaign could be aimed at justifying potential acts of terrorism or other hostile actions directed by the Afghan Taliban regime.

Pakistan has reiterated its stance that any acts of terrorism, cross-border attacks, or drone strikes orchestrated by the Afghan Taliban or its proxies will lead to the immediate termination of the temporary ceasefire. The country has warned that such actions would trigger the resumption of Operation Ghazb Lil-Haq with increased intensity.
