ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has issued a strong condemnation of recent remarks made by the Indian Defense Minister, labeling them as “highly provocative and irresponsible” in relation to the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir dispute. The Government of Pakistan asserts that such statements not only misrepresent facts concerning the United Nations’ stance on the matter but also reflect a deliberate strategy by the Indian government to jeopardize regional and international peace.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Indian minister’s comments are seen as an attempt to distract from India’s ongoing control over Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK), its alleged support of terrorism in the region, and its internal instability. The statement emphasized Pakistan’s resolve, highlighting the nation’s readiness to counter any perceived aggression, as demonstrated during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos the previous year.
The Pakistani government is calling upon the international community, particularly the United Nations, to take notice of what it describes as India’s “continued rogue behavior” and to ensure accountability for India’s non-compliance with UN Security Council resolutions that advocate for the right to self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
