Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Saudi Arabia Amid Regional Tensions

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia during a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. The call focused on diplomatic efforts and the importance of dialogue to resolve regional tensions.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif briefed the Crown Prince on Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach aimed at de-escalating conflicts and resolving differences through dialogue. The Crown Prince expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s peace efforts. During the discussion, Prime Minister Sharif condemned recent attacks on Saudi Arabia and expressed full solidarity with the Kingdom and its citizens. He also lauded the Saudi leadership for its restraint during the crisis and assured that Pakistan would continue to stand by Saudi Arabia as it has in the past.

The Prime Minister also called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and a return to stability in the region. He emphasized the need for unity among Muslim nations. Additionally, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed Eid ul Fitr greetings to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, and the Saudi people, which were warmly reciprocated by the Crown Prince.
