Interior Minister Prioritizes Timely Passport Issuance for Overseas Pakistanis

Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that the prompt issuance of passports to overseas Pakistanis is a top priority, during a meeting convened alongside Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain. The meeting focused on ensuring that passports are not issued to individuals with criminal backgrounds.

According to Radio Pakistan: The meeting, held in Islamabad, also reviewed the progress on obtaining Spanish resident cards for Pakistanis. It was highlighted that passports and other necessary documents would be issued to Pakistanis within a week before the registration begins, facilitating the legal status of illegal immigrants in Spain. This initiative is expected to benefit around fifteen thousand Pakistanis, among citizens from other countries.

Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Interior for its comprehensive support to Pakistanis residing in Spain.
