Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Nawabzada Khalid Hussain Magsi has reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir. The minister emphasized that the abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special constitutional status by India on August 5, 2019, is deemed unacceptable by Pakistan, labeling it a violation of international law and United Nations resolutions.
According to Press Information Department, Magsi highlighted that support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination is a fundamental aspect of Pakistan’s national policy. He assured that Pakistan will persist in providing political, diplomatic, and moral backing to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The minister also pointed out the human rights violations occurring in the occupied territory and called for international intervention to address the situation and facilitate a peaceful resolution based on UN Security Council resolutions.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s dedication to the cause, Magsi stated that the country will continue to bring the issue of Jammu and Kashmir to the forefront at regional and international platforms. He concluded by stressing Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to standing with the Kashmiri people in their pursuit of self-determination.
