Islamabad: On Youm-e-Istehsal, Pakistan’s Federal Minister and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Hon. Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, reiterated the nation’s commitment to supporting the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The day marks the anniversary of India’s unilateral revocation of the region’s special status on August 5, 2019, an action that Pakistan views as a violation of international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions.

According to Press Information Department, Noon emphasized the importance of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, which he stated is recognized under UN resolutions. Despite ongoing challenges, the Kashmiri population continues to advocate for their freedom and dignity. Noon pledged that Pakistan will persist in its political, diplomatic, and moral support for Kashmiris, urging the international community and human rights organizations to address the conflict and champion a peaceful resolution.

Noon highlighted Pakistan’s intention to press the Kashmir issue on both regional and international platforms, calling for global intervention to alleviate the hardships faced by Kashmiris. As the nation observes Youm-e-Istehsal, Noon reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Kashmiri people, expressing hope that their pursuit of justice and autonomy will ultimately succeed.
