Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Kashmir on Accession Day

Islamabad: Pakistan commemorated Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Day with a renewed call for a peaceful resolution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. The observance highlights the historic resolution of 1947 and underscores the enduring connection between Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Press Information Department, the President of Pakistan emphasized the unresolved status of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, despite United Nations Security Council resolutions supporting the region’s right to self-determination. The President expressed concern over ongoing human rights issues in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and urged international bodies to support efforts for a just resolution.

Pakistan remains committed to advocating for the rights of the Kashmiri people, pledging continued diplomatic, political, and moral support. The President’s message saluted the resilience of the Kashmiri people and called for renewed efforts towards a peaceful settlement that would lead to stability in South Asia.
