New York: Pakistan has reiterated its steadfast support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and unity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This declaration was made by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, during a United Nations Security Council debate focusing on the Balkan nation.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Ahmad emphasized the importance of the General Framework Agreement for Peace, commonly referred to as the Dayton Peace Accord, as the cornerstone for ensuring peace, stability, and progress in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He further expressed Pakistan’s warm and fraternal ties with Bosnia and Herzegovina, urging the country’s political leaders to act with prudence and responsibility. The Ambassador called for constructive engagement to resolve differences and promote the welfare of all people in the country.
