New York: Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting a Libyan-led and Libyan-owned political process, emphasizing it as the sole viable solution for achieving enduring peace, stability, and prosperity in Libya.
According to Radio Pakistan, this support was expressed by Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Usman Jadoon, during a United Nations Security Council briefing on the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL). Jadoon conveyed optimism that the recent consultations focused on electoral arrangements and the outcomes from the Structured Dialogue process would facilitate consensus-building, promote institutional reunification, and aid national reconciliation efforts.
