Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Facilitate Sikh Pilgrims, Says Minister

Hassan Abdal: The Pakistani government is committed to ensuring all necessary facilitation for Sikh pilgrims, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf stated on Monday. He emphasized the country’s warm welcome to Sikh visitors from around the world, highlighting Pakistan’s status as a peaceful and hospitable nation.

According to Radio Pakistan, the minister’s remarks were made during a ceremony in Hassan Abdal. He announced ongoing efforts to renovate and beautify Sikh Gurdwaras throughout Pakistan. Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Kesoo Mal Kheal Das also addressed the gathering, affirming that minorities in Pakistan enjoy equal rights alongside their Muslim counterparts and are free to visit their religious sites.

Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora added that Pakistan is a proponent of peace, love, and harmony. He noted that Sikh pilgrims receive exceptional respect and affection during their visits to the country.
