Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Diplomacy and Global Engagement Amid Regional Tensions

Islamabad: Pakistan remains committed to diplomacy, respect for sovereignty, and meaningful international engagement as a path to regional stability and global harmony. This commitment was reiterated by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tahir Andrabi, during a media briefing in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tahir Andrabi emphasized the importance of constructive partnerships and sincere dialogue in promoting peace, security, and shared prosperity. Addressing questions about recent calls within India for dialogue with Pakistan, Andrabi described these voices as a positive development and expressed hope for a shift in India’s stance toward more peaceful engagement.

In response to a CBS News report alleging the presence of Iranian aircraft at Pakistan’s Nur Khan Airbase, Andrabi categorically rejected the claims as misleading and sensationalized. He stated that such narratives threaten ongoing efforts to promote regional stability and peace.

Discussing the visit of U.S. President Donald Trump to China, the spokesperson highlighted its significance and expressed Pakistan’s support for U.S.-China engagement, particularly regarding global peace and security matters. Andrabi also reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent position on Taiwan, supporting the One-China principle and China’s efforts in multilateral forums like the United Nations and World Health Assembly.
