Pakistan Pledges Continued Support for Kashmir, Palestine Amid Calls for National Unity

ISLAMABAD: In a recent address at the National Youth and Ulema Convention in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the people of Kashmir and Palestine. The Prime Minister called for national unity to tackle terrorism and advance Pakistan’s economic and social challenges.

Speaking on the occasion of Jumatul Wida, Sharif highlighted the critical role of Ulema and citizens from all backgrounds in overcoming internal divisions rooted in religion and ethnicity. He urged the nation to prioritize collective progress over personal ambitions, citing the sacrifices made by Pakistan’s forefathers for the country’s creation.

Sharif emphasized the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces in combating terrorism and pointed out the country’s vast natural resources. He cautioned against adversaries who wish to prevent Pakistan from benefiting from these resources. The Prime Minister called for collective unity to elevate Pakistan’s standing globally.

Addressing the youth, Sharif encouraged them to devote themselves to national development, assuring government support through initiatives like the Digital Youth Hub. He highlighted efforts in education, employment, and entrepreneurship to equip young people with modern skills.

Sharif also stressed the responsible use of media and digital platforms, urging religious scholars and intellectuals to foster positive discourse to counter misinformation. He expressed concern over negative propaganda that exacerbates societal divides.

In a show of solidarity, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the rights of the people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine, vowing to stand by them until they achieve freedom.
