Brussels, The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels participated in the International School of Brussels (ISB) International Festival on July 9, 2024, where it showcased Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and diversity through a uniquely designed pavilion.
According to Press Information Department, the festival is an annual event that celebrates global cultures and traditions, drawing participation from 100 countries with distinctive displays. The Pakistan Pavilion featured an array of artifacts, handicrafts, traditional costumes, and photographs, offering festival-goers a glimpse into the country’s history and cultural wealth.
Visitors to the pavilion were treated to traditional Pakistani street food, including popular dishes like Biryani, Samosas, Gulab Jamun, and special Pakistani chai, which became a major draw. The pavilion also included a Henna corner, providing intricate designs to those seeking an immersive cultural experience. Additionally, sports items like football and cricket kits labeled “Made in Pakistan” attracted families, with children and parents eager to take photos with a World Cup Football displayed at the stall.
Ambassador Amna Baloch highlighted the significance of the festival as a platform to promote Pakistan’s cultural diversity and hospitality. She expressed satisfaction with the international community’s enthusiastic reception and interest in Pakistani culture. The pavilion’s array of offerings, especially its cuisine and traditional arts, were particularly well-received, making it one of the highlights of the festival.
