Karachi: In a swift operation that highlights its commitment to international maritime obligations, the Pakistan Navy responded to a distress call from the offshore vessel MV GAUTAM, which was left stranded in the Arabian Sea due to a critical technical failure. The vessel, carrying seven crew members, including six Indians and one Indonesian, was en route from Oman to India when the incident occurred.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the Pakistan Navy received an alert from the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) Mumbai and promptly deployed the PMSA Ship KASHMIR to the scene. The Navy’s response included providing the crew with essential food, medical aid, and technical assistance to restore the vessel’s critical systems, ensuring the safety of all crew members on board.
