Dubai: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai commemorated Pakistan’s National Day with a formal ceremony attended by community members and consulate officials. H.E. Hussain Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan, hoisted the national flag to begin the event, which included messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan.
According to Press Information Department, the Consul General extended warm felicitations on Pakistan Day, recalling the historic significance of March 23, 1940, when the Pakistan Resolution was adopted, leading to the creation of Pakistan on August 14, 1947. He paid tribute to the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the sacrifices of the Pakistan Movement’s leaders and workers, highlighting the peaceful and democratic struggle that led to Pakistan’s formation.
The Consul General emphasized the role of the Pakistani community in the United Arab Emirates, noting their contribution to both countries’ progress and acknowledging that the UAE provided the highest foreign remittances to Pakistan in February 2026. He praised the community’s responsible conduct amid the regional security situation and urged adherence to local laws, particularly in the use of social and digital media platforms.
He encouraged the Pakistani community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates to continue contributing to Pakistan’s development, stressing the importance of hard work, honesty, and integrity. He reaffirmed that following Quaid-e-Azam’s principles of Unity, Faith, and Discipline would lead to a stronger and more prosperous Pakistan.
