Pakistan National Day Celebrated in Washington D.C. with Flag-Hoisting Ceremony


Washington D.C., The Embassy of Pakistan in Washington D.C. marked the 84th anniversary of Pakistan National Day with a grand ceremony characterized by the flag hoisting by Ambassador Masood Khan and the resonant playing of the national anthem, reflecting a profound sense of national pride and unity. The event was a vivid display of patriotism, with embassy officials and the Pakistani community coming together to honor the historic day.



According to Press Information Department, the ceremony included the reading of special messages from Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister, delivered by Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Naveed Safdar Bukhari and Ambassador Masood Khan, respectively. The President’s message emphasized the collective responsibility of Pakistanis towards nation-building, advocating for hard work, integrity, and compassion. Similarly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s message, conveyed by Ambassador Khan, called for a reinvigoration of the commitment to follow the principles laid down by the founding fathers for a peaceful, progressive, and stable Pakistan.



The celebration attracted a diverse audience, including members from the diplomatic and defense corps, prominent figures from the Pakistani community, and media representatives, all gathered to pay tribute to the significance of Pakistan Day. This commemoration not only reinforced the patriotic spirit among Pakistanis residing in the United States but also highlighted the enduring values that form the foundation of Pakistan’s identity and aspirations.
