Pakistan Military Celebrates First Anniversary of Marka-e-Haq Victory


RAWALPINDI: A ceremony marking the first anniversary of Pakistan’s victory in the battle of Marka-e-Haq was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. The event featured senior military officials, including Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, who paid tribute to fallen soldiers with floral wreaths and salutes.



According to Radio Pakistan, the commemoration began with Air Chief Marshal Sidhu and Admiral Ashraf laying floral wreaths at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, followed by a salute presented by contingents from the three armed services. Field Marshal Munir, who served as the chief guest, also placed a wreath at the memorial and offered prayers for the martyrs. The ceremony underscored the unity and dedication of Pakistan’s military forces.
