Pakistan Issues Demarche to Afghan Taliban Over Karachi Attack


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has summoned the Afghan Chargé d’Affaires to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad and issued a strong demarche in response to the recent terrorist attack in Karachi.



According to Radio Pakistan, the demarche was communicated by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tahir Andrabi, during a media briefing. Andrabi highlighted that Pakistan’s Ambassador, Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani, also conveyed a similar demarche to the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The action follows the involvement of Afghan nationals, including one arrested at the scene, in the attack, underscoring the continued use of Afghan soil and nationals for orchestrating terrorist activities in Pakistan.
