Pakistan High Commission in Ottawa Hosts Event for Jammu and Kashmir Solidarity

Ottawa: The High Commission for Pakistan in Ottawa organized an event to express support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The event highlighted ongoing concerns over restrictions on freedoms and human rights issues in the region.

According to Radio Pakistan, High Commissioner Muhammad Saleem addressed attendees, focusing on the situation in IIOJK. He noted the continuing international concerns regarding restrictions on fundamental freedoms, prolonged detentions, demographic changes, and reports of human rights violations. Saleem stressed that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized unresolved dispute and emphasized the need for a peaceful settlement in line with United Nations Security Council Resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
