Pakistan High Commission in London Marks Anniversary of Marka-e-Haq

London: The High Commission for Pakistan in London commemorated the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq at a ceremony attended by British Parliamentarians, Pakistani-origin Councillors, business leaders, High Commission officers, media, and members of the Pakistani diaspora in the UK. The event highlighted Pakistan’s Armed Forces and their role during Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.

According to Press Information Department, Pakistan’s Acting High Commissioner to the UK, Haseeb bin Aziz, emphasized the bravery and professionalism of the country’s military personnel in his keynote address. He praised their efforts in defending Pakistan and maintaining the honor of the national flag. The ceremony also recognized the contributions of the Pakistani community in the UK as ambassadors of their homeland.

Defence and Naval Adviser Cdre. Jawad Khawaja and Army and Air Adviser Col. Mohsin Waqar remarked on the coordinated efforts of Pakistan’s defense forces in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty. Additionally, Minister (Press) Ali Nawaz Malik discussed the High Commission’s work in countering negative media narratives during Marka-e-Haq.

Community representatives expressed their admiration for the Armed Forces, political leaders, and citizens who remained united during Marka-e-Haq. The gathering concluded with a commitment to continue efforts towards building a stronger Pakistan.
