Pakistan Government Reaffirms Commitment to Workers’ Rights on International Labour Day

Islamabad: The government of Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the rights of workers, emphasizing the importance of fair wages and safe working environments. This statement was made by Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, the Federal Minister for Law and Justice and Human Rights, in a message commemorating International Labour Day.

According to Press Information Department, Senator Tarar extended his tribute to the nation’s workforce, acknowledging their role in driving Pakistan’s progress and prosperity. The minister highlighted ongoing efforts led by Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to align labor protection mechanisms with international standards, including those set by the International Labour Organization. The government’s initiatives focus on ensuring dignity, equality, and respect for all workers, aiming to create an inclusive environment where every contribution is recognized.
