BEIJING: Muhammad Aurangzeb, Pakistan’s Minister for Finance and Revenue, has embarked on a visit to China to attend the issuance ceremony of Pakistan’s inaugural Panda Bond in Beijing. This event marks a significant step as Pakistan gains access to China’s domestic capital market for the first time.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Panda Bond issuance is a key milestone in Pakistan’s financial strategy. It is part of the country’s efforts to diversify its financing sources, bolster investor confidence, and expand its footprint in international financial markets. The bond is expected to enhance economic cooperation between Pakistan and China and present Pakistan’s economic potential to the global investor community.
