Paris: The Embassy of Pakistan in France held a special event to observe Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir, demonstrating solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister were read, highlighting the Kashmir dispute’s origins, Indian actions in IIOJK, and the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

According to Press Information Department, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, addressed the Pakistani diaspora in France, recalling the hardships faced by the people of IIOJK. He condemned India’s measures from August 2019 and urged for a resolution based on the aspirations of Kashmiris and UN Security Council resolutions.

Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch paid tribute to the Kashmiris’ struggle for self-determination, accusing India of denying fundamental rights and altering IIOJK’s demographic and political landscape. She reaffirmed that the Kashmir dispute is central to Pakistan’s foreign policy and emphasized the role of Pakistani diplomats in advocating for the Kashmir cause.

Speakers at the event condemned India’s actions from August 5, 2019, as violations of UNSC resolutions and international law, demanding accountability for human rights violations. The event saw participation from the Pakistani diaspora, academics, journalists, students, and professionals, all expressing unwavering solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
