Islamabad: The 10th meeting of the Board of Approvals (BOA) for Special Economic Zones (SEZs) was held at the Board of Investment (BOI), addressing legislative amendments, operational strategies, and development decisions aimed at bolstering Pakistan’s economic framework.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting was co-chaired by Federal Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries & Production Haroon Akhtar, and Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kiyani. Distinguished participants included Senator Saleem Mandviwala, Secretary BOI and SIFC Jamil Qureshi, Coordinator to the Prime Minister Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, and senior officials from relevant ministries and councils.
The assembly underscored the Government’s ongoing efforts to improve the performance of SEZs, fostering an environment conducive to investment, industrial growth, and economic development.
