Pakistan Defence Minister Asserts National Unity and Military Strength on Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, marked the first anniversary of the nation’s victory in the battle of Marka-e-Haq by emphasizing the unity and strength of the country’s armed forces and citizens. He highlighted the significance of the day as a testament to the courage and professional excellence demonstrated by the nation.

According to Press Information Department, Asif stated that the Marka-e-Haq was more than a military triumph; it was a strategic milestone that showcased Pakistan’s capabilities and restraint. He warned that any future aggression against the country would be met with a far more decisive and comprehensive response. The Defence Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace and regional stability, while cautioning against misinterpreting this commitment as a vulnerability.

Asif underlined the integration and readiness of Pakistan’s military capabilities across various domains, asserting that the illusion of pressuring, isolating, or coercing Pakistan has been dispelled. The unity of the people, state, and armed forces is cited as a pivotal factor in reshaping the strategic balance, described metaphorically as an “unbreakable steel wall.”

The Defence Minister also reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Emphasizing Pakistan’s role as a responsible state, Asif noted the nation’s contributions to regional and global stability through balanced diplomacy.

On the occasion of Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq, he honored the sacrifices of martyrs and pledged continued unity and resolve in facing future challenges, framing the day as both a remembrance of victory and a commitment to progress.
