Pakistan Declared Trachoma-Free by World Health Organization, PM Shehbaz Praises Nation’s Achievement


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the nation on being declared trachoma-free by the World Health Organization (WHO), marking a major public health milestone for the country. During a ceremony in Islamabad, Dr. Luo Dapeng, head of the WHO mission in Pakistan, presented a formal congratulatory letter to the Prime Minister.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Shehbaz Sharif commended the collaborative efforts of the health ministry, provincial governments, NGOs, and health experts for achieving this success. He also highlighted the importance of continuing efforts to eliminate polio and hepatitis from Pakistan, stressing that the fight against preventable diseases must continue.
