Pakistan Day Parade Canceled Amid Ongoing Gulf Oil Crisis

Islamabad: In light of the ongoing Gulf oil crisis and the subsequent austerity measures announced by the government, it has been decided that the Pakistan Day Parade and associated ceremonial events will not take place on March 23, 2026.

According to Press Information Department, the day will be observed with dignity and reverence through a simple flag-hoisting ceremony at appropriate levels. This decision is part of efforts to align national celebrations with the broader austerity framework while maintaining the resilience and commitment to the ideals of Pakistan Day. Ministries, divisions, and departments have been advised to mark the occasion in a solemn and respectful manner, ensuring that the significance of the day is preserved despite the reduced scale of celebrations.
