New York: Pakistan has strongly condemned the killing of three Indonesian UN peacekeepers in Lebanon, describing the incident as a significant breach of international law and a threat to global peacekeeping efforts.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, made an official statement during an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. He emphasized that the incident undermines the core principles of United Nations peacekeeping operations and the international community’s commitment to maintaining global peace and security. Ahmad called for a prompt, comprehensive, transparent, and impartial investigation to uncover the facts surrounding the tragedy.
