Islamabad: Pakistan expressed approval of the recent talks between Iran and the United States, conducted in Muscat under the facilitation of Oman. The discussions, which took place on Saturday, have been welcomed by Pakistan as a positive step towards fostering peace and stability in the region.
In an official statement, the Foreign Office Spokesperson emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving regional disputes. “Pakistan considers that dialogue and diplomacy will promote peace and stability in the region and advance the objective of resolution of differences and disputes on the basis of negotiations and mutual respect,” the spokesperson stated.
The spokesperson further encouraged the involved parties to persist in their diplomatic efforts. “We encourage the parties to continue to follow this path,” the statement added, highlighting the hope for ongoing discussions between the two nations.
The Foreign Office also acknowledged Oman’s role in facilitating the talks. “Pakistan commends the Sultanate of Oman for its valuable role in facilitating and hosting these talks,” the spokesperson remarked, underscoring the significance of Oman’s involvement in the diplomatic process.
The talks are seen as a constructive move by Pakistan, which continues to advocate for peaceful solutions to regional conflicts. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting released the statement, reflecting Pakistan’s position on the international efforts to address and resolve geopolitical tensions through dialogue.
