New York: Pakistan has issued a firm statement against any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians or annex their land, urging the global community to reject and prevent such actions.
This position was articulated by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar, during informal consultations in New York. The discussions focused on preparations for an upcoming high-level international conference aimed at the peaceful settlement of the Question of Palestine and the implementation of the two-state solution.
Ambassador Iftikhar highlighted the ongoing human suffering in Gaza and the West Bank, emphasizing that such conditions cannot continue. He urged the international community to lend its support to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab Group in their efforts to put the Gaza Reconstruction Plan into operation.
The statement reflects Pakistan’s continued engagement in international forums concerning the Palestinian situation, advocating for a resolution that ensures the rights and safety of the Palestinian people.
