NEW YORK: Pakistan has emphasized the necessity of a comprehensive political process to address the ongoing crisis in Yemen. Speaking at the United Nations Security Council, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, stressed that sustainable peace in Yemen can only be achieved through negotiations.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ahmad reiterated Pakistan’s support for a political process led by Yemenis themselves. He underscored the importance of inclusive dialogue to forge a path toward lasting peace in the region, aligning with the broader international efforts to stabilize the situation in Yemen.
