Islamabad: Pakistan may improve its economic projections for the upcoming fiscal year following the conclusion of the Iran conflict, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has stated. However, he noted that it is premature to revise the current budget.
According to Radio Pakistan, during an interview with Reuters, Aurangzeb outlined Pakistan’s plans to issue further Panda Bonds, Eurobonds, and U.S. dollar bonds, as well as the country’s first rupee-linked, dollar-settled bonds. The sizes of these issuances are yet to be determined.
Furthermore, Aurangzeb indicated that the government aims to regulate crypto, tokenization, and digital-asset exchanges before imposing taxes on the sector. He suggested that formalizing these sectors would lead to revenue gains in the future.
