ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police, under the guidance of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has developed a security plan to manage Muharram-ul-Haram processions and gatherings, focusing on maintaining law and order and safeguarding citizens.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the security arrangements will be closely monitored by IGP Rizvi, who will supervise the implementation of the plan personally. A central control room has been set up at Safe City Islamabad for the continuous monitoring of events using surveillance systems.
Security measures include enhanced checks at Imambargahs, majalis, and procession routes, with strengthened patrolling in nearby areas. Senior police officers will oversee the operations on the ground, ensuring the use of modern technology and resources. Surveillance at sensitive locations will be boosted, and coordination with relevant departments will be maintained for emergency responses. The IGP stressed the importance of vigilance and professionalism among all officers.
