Islamabad: Pakistan and Uzbekistan celebrated their enduring friendship and shared cultural heritage through music and art at a special concert in Islamabad. The event, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, marked the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence and highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.

According to Press Information Department, Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, who attended as Chief Guest, emphasized the historical and cultural connections between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. He noted the role of poetry, music, and art in bridging the two countries over centuries and expressed hope for expanded cooperation in various cultural domains. The event featured performances by Uzbek artists, demonstrating the rich cultural traditions of Uzbekistan and reinforcing the theme of “Melodies of Friendship and Brotherhood.”

Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev described the concert as a cultural gift from Uzbekistan to Pakistan, underscoring the historical links and recent initiatives strengthening bilateral ties. He announced plans for further cultural exchanges, including the “Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in Pakistan” later this year. The evening concluded with expressions of goodwill and a commitment to deepening cultural relations between the two countries.
