Pakistan and UK Officials Commit to Strengthening Bilateral Relations


Islamabad: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with the UK Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, Stephen Doughty, in Islamabad to discuss the enhancement of bilateral ties. The discussions emphasized trade, investment, education, and security as key areas for cooperation.



According to Press Information Department, the officials reviewed the current state of Pakistan-UK relations and expressed a shared commitment to bolstering these connections. The meeting also covered regional and international developments, with both parties voicing concerns over the region’s evolving situation. Senator Dar stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing both regional and global challenges. The two sides agreed on the need for the swift operationalization of the Pakistan-UK Bilateral Political Dialogue.
