Pakistan and UK Discuss Strengthening Economic and Financial Ties


Islamabad: Pakistan’s newly appointed High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Tipu Usman, met with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in Islamabad to explore opportunities for enhancing economic and financial cooperation between Pakistan and the UK. The meeting focused on diversifying financing sources, accessing international capital markets, and strengthening Pakistan’s financial framework.



According to Radio Pakistan, Finance Minister Aurangzeb highlighted the critical role of the Pakistani diaspora in the UK in fostering economic ties, particularly through remittances, investments, and commercial activities. He stressed the importance of collaboration with UK-based financial institutions and the private sector to promote bilateral economic ties.



The High Commissioner expressed Pakistan’s dedication to advancing its economic partnership with the UK, emphasizing the long-standing significance of the relationship and its potential for further growth.
