Pakistan and UAE to Strengthen Ties at Upcoming Joint Ministerial Commission in Abu Dhabi


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a series of meetings in Islamabad on Monday to finalize preparations for the 12th Session of the Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) with the United Arab Emirates, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi next month.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Inter-Ministerial committee reviewed logistical and strategic aspects to ensure effective representation and outcomes at the forthcoming session. The JMC aims to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, and economic development between Pakistan and the UAE.



Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister Dar oversaw the fourth meeting of a committee dedicated to addressing significant issues within the Exploration and Production sector. Discussions focused on solutions for circular debt and the rationalization of prices for Re-Gasified Liquefied Natural Gas, critical elements in stabilizing Pakistan’s energy sector and economic framework.



These meetings highlight Pakistan’s proactive approach in bolstering economic ties and resolving key domestic economic challenges as part of its broader international relations strategy.
