Pakistan and UAE Leaders Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties and Regional Peace


Abu Dhabi: Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to discuss enhancing bilateral relations and addressing regional issues. The leaders emphasized cooperation in various sectors, aiming to bolster economic and trade relations while aligning with their visions for sustainable growth.



According to a statement by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the leaders agreed to designate 2025 as a year of action, focusing on initiatives that promote development and economic prosperity. The meeting highlighted the importance of the World Governments Summit in identifying global trends in governance and improving government adaptability to global transformations.



The discussions also covered regional and international concerns, particularly recent developments in the Middle East. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to pursuing intensified international efforts for a comprehensive and lasting peace in Palestine, advocating for a two-state solution to ensure regional security and stability.



Prime Minister Sharif’s visit to the UAE is part of a two-day trip to participate in the World Governments Summit 2025, hosted in Dubai. The event, themed “Shaping Future Governments,” aims to explore strategies for future governance challenges.
