Pakistan and Turkmenistan to Sign MoU Enhancing Economic Ties under CPEC

Islamabad: Pakistan and Turkmenistan are poised to sign a memorandum of understanding that will bolster their economic and trade relationships within the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). This agreement will mark Turkmenistan as the first Central Asian nation to access Pakistan’s Gwadar port.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, a committee has been formed by the government to review the draft agreement that aims to facilitate trade between Gwadar and Turkmenbashi ports. There are ongoing high-level efforts to develop Gwadar into a significant global trade hub, supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council.
