Pakistan and Tajikistan Strengthen Ties Through Diplomatic Dialogue

Islamabad: Pakistan and Tajikistan have expressed satisfaction with the strengthening trajectory of their bilateral relations, as articulated during a telephonic conversation between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon.

Prime Minister Sharif congratulated President Rahmon on the signing of the ‘Treaty on the Delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik Border.’ He also expressed his anticipation for attending the “International High-Level Event on Glaciers’ Preservation” in Dushanbe, scheduled for May 2025.

In recognition of Eid ul Fitr, Prime Minister Sharif extended his congratulations to the President and the people of Tajikistan. President Rahmon reciprocated with sincere wishes for the people of Pakistan.

Prime Minister Sharif used the social media platform X to share his experience of speaking with President Rahmon. He emphasized the shared commitment between the two nations to deepen their ties, which have been reinforced since his visit to Dushanbe last July.

Additionally, Prime Minister Sharif reiterated his invitation to President Rahmon to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience, underscoring the mutual desire to enhance diplomatic relations further.
