Pakistan and Saudi Navies Showcase Strength in North Arabian Sea


Karachi: Pakistan Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Forces completed the NASEEM AL BAHR-XV bilateral maritime exercise, marked by a live weapon firing display in the North Arabian Sea. The event was attended by the Commander of Royal Saudi Naval Forces as the Chief Guest, alongside Pakistan’s Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf.



According to a statement by Pakistan Navy, the exercise involved PNS ZULFIQUAR, PNS YARMOOK, and RSNF Ships HMS JAZAN and HMS HAIL, which executed a series of live firings of Surface to Surface and Surface to Air missiles. All participating ships hit their targets, underscoring their combat capabilities and readiness.



The NASEEM AL BAHR-XV exercise included advanced maritime operations with scenarios such as joint maneuvers, Anti-Surface Warfare, Anti-Submarine Warfare, and integrated Maritime Security Operations. This collaboration aimed to bolster bilateral cooperation, improve interoperability, and affirm a shared commitment to maritime security.



The biennial exercise is a testament to the strategic partnership between the Pakistan Navy and Royal Saudi Naval Forces, focusing on the protection of mutual maritime interests. The recent weapon firing event highlighted Pakistan Navy’s operational prowess following the soft power demonstration at AMAN 25.
