Islamabad, In a key diplomatic engagement today, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, to discuss strengthening Pakistan-Qatar relations and expanding economic partnerships.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in sectors such as energy, mining, and aviation. The officials also discussed regional and global issues, particularly the situation in Gaza. The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted Qatar’s role in mediating the Palestine-Israel conflict and advocated for a sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders with Al Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. Dr. Al-Khulaifi conveyed a message of support from the Qatari leadership, emphasizing the importance of economic diplomacy in fostering a beneficial economic relationship between the two nations.
