Pakistan and Qatar Emphasize Need for Regional De-escalation and Cooperation


DOHA: Pakistan and Qatar have jointly underscored the importance of de-escalation in the region, emphasizing diplomatic dialogue to ensure security and stability. Qatar’s Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s role in these efforts during discussions with the visiting Pakistani Prime Minister and his delegation.



According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting at the Amiri Diwan in Doha involved discussions on the latest regional and international developments, with a focus on the Middle East. The Prime Minister of Pakistan also condemned recent attacks against Qatar and other Gulf nations, affirming solidarity with Qatar’s leadership and people.



Both leaders stressed the need for international coordination to secure the region and maintain energy supply chains. Additionally, they reviewed bilateral relations, exploring ways to enhance cooperation in security, defense, and energy sectors. The discussions also included a one-on-one session where they exchanged views on mutual interests and the implications of ongoing events for regional security.



The Amir hosted a luncheon in honor of the Pakistani Prime Minister and his delegation, marking the conclusion of the diplomatic engagement.
