Pakistan and Nine Nations Condemn Israeli Assaults on Aid Flotilla

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan, along with nine other countries, has issued a strong condemnation of recent Israeli assaults on the Global Sumud Flotilla. The joint statement, released by the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Turkiye, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Jordan, Libya, Maldives, and Spain, highlights concerns over Israeli interventions in international waters.

According to Radio Pakistan, the foreign ministers expressed grave concern over the repeated attacks on civilian vessels and humanitarian activists, calling these actions clear violations of international and humanitarian law. They emphasized the need for the immediate release of detained activists and urged respect for their rights and dignity.

The statement also advocates for the protection of civilians and humanitarian missions, urging the global community to enforce accountability for these violations. The ministers underscored that such assaults demonstrate a continued disregard for international law and the principle of freedom of navigation.
