Islamabad: Pakistan Navy Ship PNS ZULFIQUAR recently carried out a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with the Republic of Korea Navy Ship WANG GEON in the North Arabian Sea.
According to Pakistan Navy, the exercise was part of the ongoing operations under the task forces of Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), specifically CTF-150 and CTF-151.
The exercise involved tactical maneuvers and communication drills, with the aim of improving operational interoperability and strengthening professional relationships between the two navies. Notably, CTF-150 and CTF-151 are task forces dedicated to preventing illicit maritime activities, such as drug trafficking and piracy, which pose threats to security in international waters.
The successful execution of this joint exercise highlights the commitment of both navies to maintaining maritime security, supporting lawful activities at sea, and fostering stability and cooperation in this strategically important region. Both Pakistan and the Republic of Korea regularly contribute ships and aircraft to maritime security efforts under the CMF, enhancing mutual understanding and operational synergy.
