Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar of Pakistan and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi expressed concern over the situation in Palestine, highlighting intensified Israeli military actions in Gaza and the Occupied West Bank. According to Radio Pakistan, the discussion occurred during a telephone conversation between the two leaders, who condemned the repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and restrictions on Palestinian worshippers.
The leaders emphasized that these actions undermine the prospects for peace and proposed a meeting of Arab and Islamic countries to address the evolving situation. Safadi acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts toward regional peace and stability, while Dar reiterated Pakistan’s support for the legitimate rights of Palestinians and a two-state solution.
