Tokyo: Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima has highlighted the potential for collaboration between Pakistan and Japan in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and semiconductors. Addressing a business seminar in Tokyo, she emphasized the importance of moving beyond traditional cooperation to co-create a shared technological future.

According to Radio Pakistan, Shaza Fatima praised Japan for its technological excellence and innovation, while noting Pakistan’s young and ambitious population as a significant asset. She stressed that Pakistan seeks to evolve from being merely a consumer of technology to becoming an active contributor to its development. The Minister emphasized the country’s connectivity and its commitment to strengthening its role in the global digital economy.

Shaza Fatima also highlighted Pakistan’s favorable investment environment, underscoring the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in promoting investor-friendly policies and ensuring continuity in the investment process. She invited Japanese companies to invest in Pakistan’s technology sector, affirming the country’s readiness to collaborate directly with interested parties in various economic areas.
