Islamabad: Pakistan and the European Union have reiterated the significance of ongoing dialogue and engagement, following a meeting between Acting Foreign Secretary Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and a delegation of Members of the European Parliament led by MEP Mary Khan-Hohloch from Germany’s AfD party.
According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions encompassed Pakistan-EU relations, including the Generalized Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP+), legislative reforms, and regional developments. Members of the European Parliament expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s role in mediating the US-Iran conflict and demonstrated an understanding of Pakistan’s stance on key issues.
The meeting facilitated a valuable exchange of views, allowing both parties to deepen their understanding of each other’s perspectives and affirming the importance of sustained communication between Pakistan and the EU.
