Islamabad: The Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme is making significant progress throughout the country, as reported by Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema. In a meeting held to review the scheme’s implementation, Cheema emphasized the importance of addressing registration issues faced by rickshaw and loader owners.
According to Radio Pakistan, Cheema urged the Pakistan Digital Authority to integrate vehicle registration and token payment complaints into a dedicated complaint portal, which is to be launched soon. The scheme aims to ensure that all eligible participants receive the intended benefits, with Cheema stressing that no eligible owner should be excluded from the relief effort.
During the meeting, Attaullah Tarar highlighted ongoing efforts to raise public awareness about the scheme. It was noted that over five million people have successfully registered, and fuel tokens are being issued efficiently. Most petrol stations have resolved registration and operational issues, marking a positive step in the scheme’s implementation.
